Podcast 008: Taking Control of a Bone Cancer Diagnosis – with Pete Lloyd.
Welcome to Episode 8 of the Rediscovery of Me: Life Stories Podcast: Taking Control of a Bone Cancer Diagnosis.
In this episode, I am joined by Pete Lloyd.
In 2007 Pete Lloyd fell and injured his leg at work. Recently married with a 1-month old son, Pete endured 4 years of repeated surgery until he was eventually diagnosed with high grade bone cancer. Pete tells us his gruelling story, of his bone cancer diagnosis and how he took back control by making a life changing decision.
“It’s almost like everything that you work towards… you have this bubble in your world that you’re going to do this, you going to do that. Then when you get the diagnosis everything that you’ve got inside this bubble, it bursts. You try and grasp hold of what little bits are falling away and it’s just so difficult to try to keep everything together.”
